I created this piece for my aunt and uncle who love ballroom dancing. The curtains in the background are modeled on my grandmother’s sketch from the 1930s (she got an A+ on the assignment, so it seemed like a good source).

Originally the scribble was blue and meant to be the background of the Pleated Woodpecker (scribble), but it as just too much. I painted the paper plum and gave it a warm background of its own.
